Barbell Bent Over Row

Description

Preparation

  • Stand with feet shoulder width apart
  • Bend the knees and leen forward to approx 30° from horizontal
  • Grasp the bar with a shoulder width grip.
  • Use an overhand grip
  • Allows the arms to fully extend and the shoulders drop forward (protracted)

Action

  • Pull the the bar to the soleplexus
  • Keep the elbows pointing back and in-line with shoulders
  • Fully retract the shoulders
  • Keep a straight lower back during the whole exercise

Return

  • Return the barbell until a slight stretch is felt
